This year Miami’s Creative and Tech Communities grew by leaps and bounds!
Frost Science Finally Opened! The spectacular state of the art museum and unique world class aquarium reset Bicentennial Park as Downtown’s Main Destination.
And it was just as exciting a year for CVC and the Miami arts community.
Institute of Contemporary Art, our newest museum, launched in the Miami Design District and The Bass reopened on Miami Beach with double the exhibition space. Longstanding institutions including PAMM and South Florida Art Center continued their engaging programs and exhibits like the mesmerizing “Microcosmos” sculpture above by Alba Triana from the Subtropics Festival. Community was a key note this year with Miami’s March for Science above and activation of the Underline below.
The year brought many engaging gallery exhibitions like the one above by Felice Grodin at Emerson Dorsch which relocated this year to brand spanking new Little Haiti digs next to Exile Press and down the street from recently relocated Nina Johnson, Pan American Art Projects and Spinello Projects.
At CVC we expanded our student and community based programs, and presented exhibitions at some of South Florida’s most popular visitor destinations including Biscayne National Park and Art Miami. Check out all our top Miami moments and photos of the year including those above here.
Thanks for being part of our journey.
We look forward to having you come along for next year’s ride!
