We were pleased to present composer Mauricio Kagel’s theatrical percussion masterpiece “Dressur” in collaboration with FETA Foundation. This rare performance of Dressur combined traditional and exotic instruments along with inventive sounds from everyday objects. The sounds were paired with the movements of the percussionists exploring the theatrical side of musical performance – for which Kagel became famous. Kagel, one of the most intriguing composers of the 20th century (1931 – 2008), incorporated elements of surrealism and anarchism in this work and in the films screened throughout the performance.
