From a large scale geometric painting by Frank Stella to a Louise Bourgeois giant spider,
big, bold and attention grabbing works by major artist were not only plentiful at this year’s fair
but were full of rich and bright colors – a theme repeated from boot to booth.
Art Basel was full of the expected with standard high end offerings in the main section of the fair
and some compelling new talent in the Positions and Nova sectors.
Some of our top artist picks to see at Art Basel 2014 are Louise Bourgeois, Larry Gagosian, David Hockney,
Meleko Mokgosi, Phililppe Parreno, Katie Patterson, Ugo Rondinone, Tracy Rose, Mark Spiegler, Frank Stella and Ricky Swallow.
